I actually want to get into shape, but it appears that all the cardio work outs that I have attempted bring on an asthma attack. I use my inhaler prior to the workout, but I still encounter symptoms soon after operating, jumping, and swimming. Any suggestions?

The ideal kind of doctor you can ask about that would be a sports medicine doctor. That is their field and deal with men and women like you every day. 20% of the athletes in Beijing were asthmatics. So get the ideal guidance you can. Check with your main care physician first. He/she may possibly be able to support you or refer you to the sports medicine doc or a pulmonologist.
Sorry, just thought of this. How are you employing your inhaler? You really should take two puffs five minutes apart. And then wait 15 minutes before starting.
God bless.

Are you taking medicine to control your asthma? I was on advair for a long time, and hardly ever had to use my rescue inhaler. Use your inhaler least 15 minutes before you exercise. I walk for exercise, I use my inhaler about 30 minutes before I walk. Then I have to poke around for about 30 minutes before I get up any speed. If I start walking fast right on, I get short of breath, and can’t walk at all. I just wonder if you are like me. I believe that the reason I have to take my time is my lungs have to slowly adjust.
