What are some residence remedies to relieve asthma symptoms?

Categories: Asthma Q&A

I have recently been diagnosed with asthma. Considering that I am quite susceptible to the side affects of my inhaler, are there any home remedies in case it gets a small difficult to breathe? I’m just talking about when my breathing is a small bit below typical capacity.
I’m looking for nonmedicated solutions, and not solutions for actual attacks, but when it feels mildly uncomfortable. I have a day-to-day inhaler and a rescue inhaler in case of a serious attack.

Use the inhalers with the steroids in them. And the ventolin for only sudden attacks. In other words attempt to prevent an attack but if it takes place get aggressive. If it doesn’t ease up after 3-4 puffs of ventolin get somebody to drive you to the hospital. Even if that has to be 911.

When I was small I use to have breathing problems where i would start off wheezing and coughing. When this happened my mom would turn on the vaporizer and put me under it covering me with a massive towel and she would tell me to inhale. I heard that also works if its genuinely hot water and your making use of your bathroom sink.

My future husband has asthma actually poor and his physician gave him some breathing techniquest just in case he couldnt use the inhaler maybe you should ask your physician about those… or call a nurse’s hotline they can give suggestions as nicely. Here is a link to discover about the Buteyko technique: http://www.buteyko.com/
