My niece is staying with us and has asthma and has began coughing. It was a last minute choice and she did not have her inhaler with her. She’s sleeping and just beginning to cough, but I don’t want to let that go because it could throw her into an attack.

That’s a bit difficult, specially since she generally utilizes an inhaler. I suppose you don’t know what causes the attacks? If you do, keep her away from that. And maintain her warm, cold air may possibly induce asthma attacks. Hope that assists!

This has happened to me as properly. I have asthma and when I sleep more than at someone’s residence my lungs typically flair up. Its almost certainly since of an alergin in the region. Is your niece sleeping on the floor or in a bed? If on the floor, it could be dust, and if in a bed, it could be that the bedding is feather. I would reccomend checking the bedding to see if it has feathers in it. Some other typical triggers that could be causing the cough are pollen, cat or other animal dander, dust mites, or mildew/mold. If you can locate the trigger and eliminate it, you should be very good to go.
